Getting to and from the Isle of Arran

Travel to the island is by ferry. The main route links Ardrossan on the Ayrshire coast with the Island's principal village of Brodick. The crossing takes 55 minutes. In the summer months, a second service operates from Lochranza to Claonaig on the Kintyre Peninsula. The ferry services are both operated by Caledonian Macbrayne. Click here to open their website, which provides service information, timetables and online booking. It is advisable to pre-book car crossings, especially in the peak season.

How to Find The Golf Club

The Club is tucked away behind the village centre of Whiting Bay. You can use the interactive map below to explore our location.

By car, proceed south through Whiting Bay village centre. Turn right at 'The Coffee Pot', following the signs up the hill and back along the Golf Course Road to the club.  There is plenty of car parking available.

If on foot, walk up Pier Brae from the village centre. At the top of the road there is a footpath signed straight ahead, however this is overgrown and difficult to navigate (especially with a set of clubs). Instead, turn right in front of the white cottage, then immediate left passing up an unmade track between the cottage and  a large house. Follow this for 50 yards between old greenhouses directly to the road and the Club. Please note that there is no vehicular access to the Club or to Golf Course Road from Pier Brae.
